Liquor & Gaming NSW is proud to be hosting the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) conference in Sydney, which runs from 31 October to 3 November 2016.

Sydney will host the event on behalf of all Australian gaming regulators, which will be held at the ParkRoyal Hotel in Darling Harbour.

The IAGR conference brings together regulators from all over the world to discuss issues, trends and changes impacting the regulation of the gaming industry. It is an important opportunity for regulators to collaborate and share ideas on how to effectively regulate the gaming industry, and prepare for future changes.

The event is open to the public and media, and registration will remain open throughout the conference. The program comprises keynote presentations and panel sessions on a range of topics including:

  • technology and responsible gambling
  • casino regulation
  • millennials and regulatory challenges
  • interjurisdictional collaboration
  • convergence of gambling and gaming
  • virtual reality gaming, and
  • sports betting and match-fixing.

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) and the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL) will also deliver half-day programs at the conference.

Currently, over 180 delegates have registered to attend the event, including top executives and senior staff of regulatory bodies from Australia and the Oceania region, Africa, Europe and the United States.
