Conditions

21

On 9 July 2014 the ILGA Board advised that, based on the information that was then before it, it was inclined to consider favourably the LIA and application for an increase in gaming machine threshold of 21 (from 0 to 21), providing that within 24 months of that date:

1. The Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority has been provided with evidence that the premises are complete and ready to trade, and

2. The Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority has been provided with evidence that a total of $105,000 has been donated to a combination of the Medowie RUFC, Medowie Soccer Club, Rural Fire Service Medowie/Soldiers Point/Tanilba Bay, State Emergency Service Port Stephens and Medowie Rotary Club and the John Hunter Hospital.

On 7 July 2016 a submission was lodged seeking an extension of a further 24 months in which to enable these proposed conditions to be met.

The ILGA Board considered the submission at its meeting of 17 August 2016 and has indicated that, if the Hotel is able to provide evidence that the above conditions have been satisfied before 9 July 2018, it will then proceed to determine the LIA and application for an increase in gaming machine threshold of 21 (from 0 to 21).
