Change of name

You must apply to Liquor & Gaming NSW if you want to change the name of your licensed premises.

The new name for your liquor licence can't be a prohibited name, objectionable, inappropriate or misleading. It must relate to the business you conduct on your premises.

For example, the word 'bar' can be misleading. L&GNSW will not approve a name that includes 'bar' unless the licence allows you to operate as a bar.

How much will it cost?

Changing the name of your licensed premises costs $100. Where an application is lodged online the fee is $90.

How long will it take?

We will determine your application within 7 working days.

Applications that do not have all the required information will not be considered. This means, there will be a delay if you fail to give us all the right information or do not respond to our requests for details.

What does L&GNSW need?
