The online portal system

All Registered Training Organisations (RTO) in NSW that provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) courses must use the online portal system to record course and student details.

The online portal links to the government licensing database and records details of students who complete the course and pass the test in RSA or RCG.

To get access to the online system, you need to complete the Online portal access application form (PDF, 240KB).

How does the online portal system work?

RTOs schedule courses on the online portal by entering the time and place they are holding the course.

Following the completion of a course, the RTO:

  • enters the details of successful students
  • pays the fees by credit card
  • prints an interim certificate for each of the students.

RTOs can also use the online portal to get details about courses they have scheduled or conducted. Any scheduled courses that aren't running on the date nominated should be cancelled by the RTO.

Software and hardware requirements for the online portal system

The system is web based and works on both PC and Mac. All you need is the internet and a compatible web browser such as:

  • Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Internet Explorer 7 and 8
  • Netscape
  • Safari.

If you need help using the online portal system, call us on 1300 024 720, Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.
